9/26/05 – Tour Update – Atlanta GA

Today was CRAZY and SO exciting all at once… it was Ashton’s pre-cd release party @ The Atlanta Room at Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta.  I spent the day visiting some old friends at the Sony BMG office which was a blast. It was fun to see some old friends.

Then upto the Livewire office to pick up the boxes of “DEWDROPS” !!!  i can’t believe it!   so then I rushed down to the Atlanta Room where Ashton, Clay Cook, Brian Wiltsey, and Sanders Satler.  They were Ashton’s backing band for the show, and they were rehearsing “Better Than I Know,” “Pretty Pink Rose,” and “If You Leave.”  I set up merch, and the doors were open…. the crowd filtered in as Clay Cook began his set…. He ALWAYS delivers live, and tonight, did NOT dissapoint… Thank you so much Clay for doing this show!

Ashton took the stage at 9:30…. Ben Rowell, Chris Francisco, Lisa Monti, My friend and former roomate Jamie, Ashton’s parents, and the entire Livewire staff were among the many in attendance.   The response was great and it was a really warm and exciting homecoming.  Ashton, Clay, Brian, and Sanders sounded great (having only rehearsed today before doors).  I was so proud and had such a great time.

I stayed there til 2am with Lisa, TJ, and more… had a blast… and am still wired from the great night!
